With a crisp, fresh kick, it combines notes of red berries and citrus fruits.
Cinsault, Grenache

Organic Wine
Soil Type

Terraces of clay-limestone in which one finds the seams of red sandstone particular to this area. The deep red soil accumulates heat during the day which it then returns to the grapes at night thus helping the development of the berries.

Climate and aspect

The Mediterranean climate benefits from the cooler air of the nearby hills. The vineyards are located on a south-easterly facing slope which makes them ideally placed to benefit from the sunshine.

Grape Variety

Cinsault 50%, Syrah 20%, Grenache 15%, Carignan 15%.
Picked just as they ripen, the grapes give this rosé a fresh and fruity taste.

The Vineyard

Work in the vineyard is undertaken with a great deal of respect for the environment, the stock, and the grape. The natural limitations of the soil mean yields for this rosé are 35hl/ha. Leaves are stripped from the north side of trailing vines and the soil, subject to erosion, is covered in grass. Organic fertilisers make it possible to maintain the microbial life and the structure of the soils.

Winemaking

The grapes are picked by hand and collected in small boxes. Sorting takes place on the plot. This rosé is the result of 80% direct pressing and 20% draining. A cold fermentation gives it its very fruity aromas and ageing on lees (the leftovers from the fermentation) gives it its roundness.

Tasting

This rosé combines crispness and roundness and has a fruity palate. On the nose, hints of raspberry and strawberry. The taste is full and fresh with a hint of red berries and citrus fruit.
